 After checking in, customers will sit for a welcome briefing followed by a training/safety briefing before the flight.  This will help you feel confident and secure about your glider flight.  Customers are introduced to their personal glider pilot who will sit in the cockpit with them during their experience. The glider pilot makes sure that you are secure and prepared for the flight.  After your glider experience you will receive a certificate of achievement from LAS VEGAS VALLEY SOARING ASSOCIATION.

Flying in a glider is very safe.  A normal glider has a 30 to 1 glide ratio, which means it can fly farther and longer than any aircraft in the world because it needs no power to fly.  

Saturday and Sunday only.  Weekday flights by appointment.

Most flights are 30 to 60 minutes long from start to finish.

One person is allowed at one time to fly, depending on weight restrictions.

 You must be 11 years old, a minimum of 80 lbs,and 4ft 9 in or older to participate in a glider flight. 

Yes.  Max weight per flight is 280 lbs.  Customers will be weighed prior to every flight for safety reasons and FAA compliance.

Our glider flights packages take our customers up to 6000 or 7000 feet.

 Customers need to wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes, preferably sneakers.  Sandals and high-heels are not allowed for drivers. 

Yes.  There will glider/safety flight briefing prior to the flight.  Additionally, there is a safety/training briefing training contract signature required prior to every flight.

Absolutely and we encourage it!  We hope that you will tag us in your social media account and share your experience with your friends and family!

 Yes, your friends and family are welcome to attend and will be able to take videos and pictures from our secure viewing areas. Children are welcome, however, for safety reasons we do not recommend children under the age of 24 months attend this experience. Pets are not allowed, only service animals are permitted at our facilities. 

No.  The controls are removed from the aircraft for customers and only installed for the pilots.

Yes, insurance is included in your package. However, you and your guests will have to sign a liability waiver when you arrive at the airport.

  Plan for a minimum of 1 to 2 hours for your glider experience.

 There are 3 payment options:
1. Credit Card: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express are accepted.
2. Check: Order is only confirmed after the full payment is processed. If you need to pay in two installments you can do so free of charge and your order will be confirmed once the second check is cleared.
3. Cash: This is only possible on the airpot. However, we cannot guarantee availability if the reservation is not paid in advance. 

 Yes, it is fully transferable to another recipient of your choice. Please contact us with the name of the new recipient so we can update the reservation. Please note that it does not change expiration date of the gift certificate. 

 Reservations are not refundable. Your experience is valid up to 1 year from the purchase date until redeemed for use and can be rescheduled. Rescheduling fees may apply  

 No deposit is required for your glider flight at Las Vegas Valley Soaring Association, however the reservation must be paid in full prior the date of the flight. 

 Depending on the period, the waiting time can be from 1 day, 1 week, or 1 month. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you book your experience as soon as possible. If you have a Gift Certificate, please book your glider experience at least 2 months before it expires.
